Pat The Roc Academy Park.

No air conditioning. No fancy gym. Just the court, the work, and the mentality that built everything we stand for.

Our players came outside to prepare for NYC and learned a powerful lesson along the way, HARD WORK PAYS OFF!

Rest in peace to our family, Mike Sweetney. 🕊️🙏🏀

Mike was an incredible basketball player, skilled, versatile, and talented in so many ways. But as great of a player as he was, he was an even better person, an incredible dad, a true friend, and someone who genuinely cared about his family and his community.

Mike had a kind heart and a smile you could never forget. He always showed love, and every time he came around the Academy, he gave our students his time, shared his knowledge, encouraged them, and poured into the next generation of youth.

We’re truly saddened by his passing and grateful for the memories, the laughs, the conversations, and every moment we were blessed to share with him.

Mike was family, and his impact on so many people will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, Mike. ❤️🙏🏾

More than basketball.

Over 30 student-athletes from Pat The Roc Academy and Team Pat The Roc had the opportunity to experience an exclusive private tour of the National Basketball Players Association offices in New York City.

Our players stepped inside the NBPA offices, experienced the court, and learned about the business behind the game, including the many careers and opportunities in basketball that exist beyond being a player.

We believe development is bigger than practices, games and tournaments.

It’s about ACCESS.
It’s about EXPOSURE.
It’s about EXPERIENCES.
It’s about showing young people what’s possible.

We want our players to see rooms they’ve never seen before, meet people they wouldn’t normally have access to, and understand that basketball can open doors far beyond the court.

This is the experience we’re building at Team Pat The Roc.
