🦉🔎 Last week, 5th grade ended their life science unit by dissecting owl pellets. Owls swallow their prey whole but can’t digest bones and fur. The form a pellet that they regurgitate. Scientists study the pellets to determine the health of an ecosystem. They worked in teams to take apart the pellets and identify bones. The 5th graders discovered 24 rodent skulls in their 11 pellets! Some of them were huge! Enjoy the pictures of these scientists at work!

🔖 Christian Character Awards for the final quarter!
In order to receive this award, students must have modeled Christ himself at school. We are so proud of each of them! May we all be more Christ-like in our everyday life!

In addition, our MOGS boys team also finished 1st place out of 10 schools for the season! We have one mighty team! Check out the trophy and all that hardware! 🥳 Thank you, Coach Rayel and Coach McCarthy for leading the pack!

Martin has been re-assigned too. Thank you, Fr. Martin for your kindness and sweetness and all you have done for us too! We will miss you both immensely! God bless you both! ✨🪜Today, we had our Step-Up Day for our rising 1st - 8th graders. This is to let our students get a feel for their new teacher, their new classroom, and to learn about some expectations, and new exciting things about the next grade! They had so much fun! It also helps ease any worries they may be having. Change is hard but with the grace of God - we can do it!

🚀✈️🌎On Tuesday, our 6th grade students had an amazing time visiting the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center! Students explored incredible aircraft from throughout history, saw the famous Space Shuttle Discovery up close, and learned about the wonders of aviation and space exploration. They also enjoyed the IMAX film Space: The New Frontier, which inspired them to think about the future of space travel and discovery. It was a wonderful day filled with learning, exploration, and unforgettable memories!

🔬✨On Monday evening, we hosted our Middle School Science Fair for students in grades 6–8, and it was a tremendous success! We were so impressed by the creativity, hard work, and dedication displayed by all of our student scientists. From thoughtful experiments to engaging presentations, every participant did an outstanding job sharing their ideas and discoveries.

❤️💙 A special thank you to Mrs. Gargulinski for organizing this science fair! And an extra big thank you to our volunteers, judges, parents, and little scientists, too! Your support, encouragement, and hard work helped create a wonderful evening of learning and celebration.
