Gaithersburg High School Njrotc We are Gaithersburg High School Njrotc and we love to keep our cadets and supporters informed!

The NJROTC Program goals are to instill in high school students the value of leadership. These goals are met by teaching to specific objectives based on the core values of the United States Navy: HONOR, COURAGE, and COMMITMENT. The Gaithersburg High School NJROTC program is a leadership elective course offered to all students who attend Gaithersburg, Watkins Mill, Rockville, Richard Montgomery, or Quince Orchard high school. This program teaches students about leadership, citizenship, Mari-times science, and naval history. Physical Fitness (PT), Uniform Inspection (UPI), and Drill are also part of the course. Students have the opportunity to join our Drill, Seal, Sail, Orienteering, Color Guard, and R***e teams. Students also have opportunities to participate in volunteer events, color guard performances, field trips, and etc. All Uniform, PT gear, Textbooks, and other materials are provided by the unit.

On 04/21/26 we held our Award Ceremony and Change of Command. The Change of Command represents the transfer of authority from the 25-26 CO, XO, and MC to the upcoming 26-27 CO, XO, and MC. The ceremony is also a formal farewell to the graduating seniors, who have made the year 25-26 worth our while. Again thank you to all that attended this occasion!!
