Love working with other local business owners.
Mohamad owns a handful of local daycares and takes an hour out of his busy day to get his sweat on a few times a week.
That, combined with support & accountability on nutrition & lifestyle habits and you just can’t lose 😎💪
Did you get your movement in today?

Want to get paid for doing what you love?
We’re hiring our next Floor Coach!
The role of the Floor Coach within our gym is to make the environment for all clients (everyday) one that personifies our 3 core values: Results, Relationships, and Fun.
The Floor Coach fosters the training environment on the gym floor each day via coaching & connecting clients, and keeping the gym upbeat and helping to progress clients forward.
At OPEX Shady Grove, we do not have "open gym" times without a floor coach because of how important we've found that support & coaching to be.
The Floor Coach needs to be able to coach clients both on their given program and in the moment. They should be comfortable with and willing to make tweaks to a program if the client is having a great/bad day. They should help clients move better and stay safe. And, they should make sure people are enjoying their time in the gym (i.e. knowing that each client's idea of enjoyment/fun is a bit different).
Preferred Qualifications:
OPEX CCP Certification
Biology/Health Related Degree (Better)
Kinesiology/Exercise Science Degree (Best)
Supplemental Qualifications:
CF L1
CF L2
Precision Nutrition L1 or 2

OPEX Shady Grove is welcoming a new incredible coach to our team, Nick Drago ( ) 🥳🥳
Nick comes to us from Miami, Florida, where he spent most of his childhood playing organized sports, specifically basketball and soccer. He discovered functional fitness while still in high school where he started his first job as a CrossFit Kids coach.
Nick’s love for health & fitness continued in college where he received his B.S. in Applied Exercise Physiology & Kinesiology from the University of Florida. After graduating, he operated a functional fitness facility in Gainesville, Florida and later back in Miami. While in Florida, Nick worked with clients ranging from 4 to 75 years old and experience levels of beginner to former collegiate athletes.
While initially Nick worked with clients in group-training facilities, he found his love for the individualized approach to fitness, nutrition & lifestyle coaching most appealing, which led him to the OPEX coaching & gyms model. Nick believes that understanding your individual goals is the key to figuring out how to build a sustainable and enjoyable health & fitness routine.
Nick has nearly 10 years of coaching experience & is currently working to complete his OPEX CCP Level 1 and Precision Nutrition Level 1 certifications as well. If you haven’t seen him over the last couple weeks of shadowing and training he’s been doing with us, you can expect to meet him soon!
We are beyond excited to welcome Nick to our small, but mighty team of awesome coaches & can’t wait to hear about all of the incredible results you’ll be seeing with his help on the gym floor.

Big belated congrats to on her 365 workouts completed!
Becoming part of the 300 Club is about more than just showing up & completing your workouts day after day.
300+ completed workouts takes dedication, heart, sweat, and an understanding that you’re in it for the long haul.
There is no magic formula (hate to break it to you) to seeing the results you want to see in the gym. The secret ingredient is simple - consistency.
Keeping at it consistently each week & trusting the process is the only guaranteed way you’ll reach the pot of gold you’re after at the end of the rainbow.
Nice work June! Beast mode!
