Mrs. Collins’ class is learning to evaluate expository techniques with a focus on conclusions!
Students collaborated to determine whether specific techniques were present or absent in each conclusion. They then evaluated the conclusions as strong, adequate, weak, or not present.

📚💙 Georgia Pre-K Week continues at GEA! 💙📚

We were excited to welcome Mr. Nick Scheman, Director of Academic Affairs and Innovation for Gainesville City Schools, as another special guest reader! 📖✨

Mr. Scheman shared some fun stories with our Pre-K students, and they loved having him visit! We are so thankful for all of our wonderful guest readers who are helping make Georgia Pre-K Week extra special! 🐘❤️

🪨✨ The rock cycle came to life in Mrs. Dyer’s class! ✨🪨

Mrs. Dyer’s class got to see the rock cycle in action with a fun (and delicious!) Starburst activity! Students used Starbursts to model how tiny bits of sediment can be pressed and compacted together to form sedimentary rock. Then, with heat and pressure, their “rocks” transformed into metamorphic rock!

It was a hands-on way to see how rocks can change over time—and definitely a sweet way to learn! 🍬🪨

Yesterday was National Custodians Day! 🧹❤️ Miss Hetzel’s class celebrated by creating a special poster to thank our amazing custodians for all they do to keep GEA clean, safe, and welcoming every day! 🐘
