In the Spring of 2013 Fab Lab Club held various design charettes to figure out what to do with scrap wood pieces donated to us from a previous project. Early on we decided to focus the efforts of our first project on our Fab Lab as it lacked a comfortable atmosphere. We had designs ranging from light fixtures, to shelves, to gator tail sculptures! Ultimately we decided to create an undulating form, which we are calling "Abstracted Geometric Dunes" It is suspended from the ceiling and features 3D printed pots to add some much needed greenery to the space. It has had a big impact on the lab for the short amount of time it has been up and was a great first collaborative effort by the club!

Each Fall the clubs within the College of Design, Construction and Planning put a big event together to get students involved. This year The Fab Lab Club made its debut! We put together a photobooth complete with corbusier eyeglasses and basswood bowties made in the lasercutters and had guest appearances by Zaha Hadid and Bjark Ingles. Overall the event was a huge success!
