🌟 Happy Labor Day weekend from the Hidden Oak PTA!

On Monday, we hope you and your family will take a moment to celebrate all the incredible workers who make our world move—especially our wonderful teachers, administrators, custodians, cafeteria staff, and bus drivers who keep our students safe, fed, and inspired every single day! 🍎✨

We also want to give a massive shoutout to our parent volunteers and PTA members whose hard work lifts our entire school community. Enjoy this well-deserved break, families!

🦋 Spotlight on our school Butterfly Garden!

Did you know that the beautiful butterfly garden sitting right in front of our outdoor amphitheater has a wonderful history?

✨ How it started: Back around 2015–2016, this special space was generously donated by the father of Mrs. Mesa, our fantastic 4th-grade teacher and team lead. He planted and created the entire garden from scratch to give our students a beautiful place to connect with nature.
🌱 How it’s going: Ever since then, your PTA has proudly maintained, weeded, and cared for this vibrant space so it can keep blooming year after year.Next time you are by the amphitheater, take a moment to stop by, look for butterflies, and enjoy this peaceful little piece of our campus!

🎉🛼 HIDDEN OAK SKATE STATION SPIRIT NIGHT! 🛼🎉

Let’s roll together and show our Hidden Oak spirit! 💙

Join us at Skate Station on Friday, September 18 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. for a fun night of skating, friends, and school spirit! 🛼✨

🏆 BONUS: The class with the highest attendance will win a prize! So grab your classmates, bring the family, and let’s see which class can show up BIG for Hidden Oak!

🙋‍♀️ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We’re looking for 2 volunteers to help check students in and tally attendance by classroom so we can see which class takes the win! It’s a simple but super-important job that will help us make the class competition happen.

WHOO loves to read 📖📚!? The Hidden Oak Elementary PTA invites all students to participate in the 40 Book Challenge this school year.

If your child reads 40 books by the end of the school year, they get to participate in a special party with ice cream 🍨, games 🎳🎯 and other special activities.

Additionally, there are prizes for every 10 books that are read at benchmark points throughout the school year. ALL books count, including graphic novels, comics and stories read to your child.

📅 The first benchmark this year is Oct. 8, 2026. Flyers and reading logs will be sent home this week. Good luck and happy reading!
