Youth Circus Inclusion & Access Spot!
The Gainesville Circus Center is partnering with the University of Florida's Department of Occupational Therapy to provide support for neurodivergent individuals to participate in youth circus programming. Programming is offered free of charge and includes afterschool care and summer camp.

Those encouraged to apply are children with barriers that would make participation in a circus-based camp program difficult without the presence of an adult buddy, such as in areas of communication, socialization and/or motor planning. Students may have diagnoses including ASD, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, intellectual disability, and/or down syndrome.

The following are the eligibility criteria for the ideal candidate for our youth circus program, which includes activities such as aerial, stilting, juggling, dance and acrobatics:

- At least minimal verbal communication skills and ability to listen and follow directions to maintain safety adherence
- No current engagement in behaviors of elopement, self injury, or aggression towards peers
