Danscompany of Gainesville is a nonprofit group of more than 150 dancers who strive to bring joy to Membership is secured through competitive audition.

Before our season draws to a close we want to highlight our appreciation for the support of our original production “State of Wonder” provided by the Arts Tag Grant from the City of Gainesville.
Our show was inspired by the beauty that surrounds us daily- from the abundance of nature trails and springs that provide us respite, access to healthy food supply and keep us awe-inspired. Our lifestyles impact the wildlife, waterways and vegetation of Florida. State of Wonder was built to be a magical journey exploring these natural wonders while reminding those that visit to ‘Leave no Trace.’

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida is an incredible place full of spirit and support for families going through medical treatments. It’s an honor to bring joy there and help support their mission.

Audition announcement 📣 This Saturday April 18 at Cameron Dancenter’s NW location we are hosting auditions for our current Single Corps members and anyone interested in joining us for the 2026-27 season!
Ballet auditions take place 3-4:30pm & Jazz auditions 4:30-5:30pm. Please arrive by 2:30pm.
Must be 12 and older to audition. Recommended 3-4 years of Ballet and Jazz technique to audition. Message with questions or to learn more about what our company has to offer.

2026 Spring Concert and State of Wonder Cast signing off! It was a wonderful weekend of dance and togetherness. We are grateful for our enthusiastic audience witnessing our passion.

We have a history of volunteers that have made us into who we are today. Thank you to our dedicated board, our creative team of choreographers and costume committee, our stage crew for the heavy lifting, our committee chairs and volunteers that write grants, provide snacks, organize our flowers, boutique and photo room, patient chaperones spending time with our youngest supporters and of course to our dancers who are young leaders and make us all smile!
We are grateful for another season of dancing and making memories together!! Wishing everyone a restful Sunday. ❤️

It’s showtime! As we take the stage, we reflect on our history and our founder, Nina Cameron, the woman whose vision brought us all together. Nina created a space where everyone is welcome; there are ample opportunities to experience the joy of movement at any age; a place where we value the ways we can give back to others with our passion. Nina and her husband, Dick Cameron, built a home in which friendships are made and we receive loving support and encouragement. Thank you for showing us that dance is more than steps and always encouraging us to Dance from the Heart ❤️
