What is a Rho Gamma? Rho Gammas are active members of our Panhellenic chapters who act as a guide and safe space to potential new members (PNMs) throughout the formal recruitment process.

Meet one of our Rho Gammas, Rainny!

Here’s why she wanted to be a Rho Gam:
“I wanted to be a Rho Gamma because I want to help PNMs through recruitment. I want to be able to help them find their home away from home! My biggest goal as a Rho Gamma is for PNMs to know that they have someone who is just as excited for them as they are for themselves (me!!)! The recruitment process can be intimidating, but knowing that you have someone in your corner ready to help you through it can make all the difference!”

PNMs, this is her advice to you:
“A bit of advice you would give to PNMs during recruitment? A piece of advice I would give to PNMs during recruitment is to keep an open mind! Every chapter has something uniquely beautiful to offer, and keeping an open mind allows you to see all of it for yourself! It’s easy to be persuaded, but create your own experience! You will never know until you try (and don’t be afraid to)!”

Alpha Gamma Delta (ΑΓΔ) Mu chapter was established in 1913 at Brenau University. One of our six NPC chapters on campus, we are glad to call these squirrels our own. Look forward to getting to know them during recruitment this fall ‼️✨

This is why she wanted to become a Rho Gamma:
“I want to become a Rho Gamma because I know how meaningful and life-changing finding the right sisterhood can be. Recruitment can be both exciting and overwhelming, and I want to help potential new members feel supported, confident, and welcomed throughout the process. Being in a sorority has given me incredible friendships, memories, and opportunities for growth, and I would love the chance to help others find the same sense of belonging. The opportunity to serve as a mentor, build genuine connections, and make a positive impact on someone’s recruitment experience is what excites me most about this role.”

PNMs, this is her advice to you:
“Trust yourself and be confident in whatever decision you make! There is a place for everyone, and every chapter is excited to welcome new members. While it can be tempting to follow friends or focus on where others are going, take the time to think about where you feel the most comfortable, supported, and genuinely yourself. The right chapter will feel like home, and trusting your instincts will help you find where you truly belong. 💕
And don’t be afraid to make new friends along the way!”

Here’s why she wanted to be a Rho Gam:
“I wanted to become a rho gamma because I want to help PNMs find their homes. During my recruitment process I was unfamiliar with sorority life. Having someone to talk to about my decisions and answer my questions helped me greatly. Now that I’ve become more active in my community, I realized that I would like to be the person to give advice and help PNMs.”

PNMs, here is her advice to you:
“Some advice I would give is to go wherever you feel you truly belong. To have a community of women and being able to feel confident to call them your sisters is powerful. Don’t ever doubt yourself and go where your heart is!“

I want to be able to make a difference for PNMs. When I was going through recruitment, I leaned on my Rho Gamma a lot to help me understand the process. I want to be able to do the same for the future PNMs.”

“A bit of advice I would give to PNMs during recruitment would be to keep an open mind while going through the process. Every house is different in their own ways, and it is good to get to know everyone.”

“I would like to be a Rho Gamma because I want to make a difference for Potential New Members. I remember being really nervous about the process and learning about it, and wanted to make them feel comfortable so that they can find their forever home.”

Here is her advice to you!
“Some advice that I would give is to keep an open mind and open heart throughout the entire process. Recruitment can be very stressful, but also very rewarding if you see the good in every house. There is something unique and different in every house, so it is good to try and get to know everyone the best you can!“
