Today the GHS Featherbone Communiversity Academy members attended the Masters of Creativity session at the Brenau Downtown Center to hear from an amazing panel about careers involving the arts/humanities and how it plays a role in our daily lives - past, present, future! SkillsUSA held the Champion Rally at the Georgia State Fair in Perry, GA. Mr. Thompson-Lewis and Coach Viviant carried members of SkillsUSA Computer Science and Law and Public Safety to the Rally! Itβs safe to say that the scholars had an amazing time! Of course, the trip ended by stopping at Buc-ees!

This past Tuesday GHS students taking part in Featherbone Communiversity Academy visited Brenau University to discuss the role of leadership in our community, tour BU and met with admissions/student leaders, and planned for this yearβs community service projects they will be taking part in!

Hurricane Helene continues to intensify with an expected rainfall exceeding 10 inches in our area. While we believe the morning will have light flooding and will be safe for passage, we do not feel confident about the afternoon and anticipated wind late Thursday and into Friday. Be safe Big Red!
