I know it has been a long year with many meetings, fund raising events and work days, but it was all worth it. I can truly say we are blessed to have so many parents at Callisburg that worked together to create a beautiful and special night for our kids! That's what it is all about. Thank you once again to all that helped and made it possible! Look forward to us working together again next year at After Prom. I promise no meetings any time soon!!! LOL.

Reminder about our upcoming Parent's Night Out/Kid's Fun Night scheduled for tomorrow night from 6pm to 11pm at the Callisburg Middle School gym for ages 4-12!! Early registration is over but we will be taking kidos at the door for $15 for one child and $10 for any additional siblings. We will be serving pizza, cookie/brownies and lemonade for dinner. We have lots of fun activities for all ages - a bounce house, arts/crafts, movies. face painting, fingernail painting, karaoke, games and sports activities!! Please spread the word!! If you are a junior parent or student that has not signed up to work a shift yet, please call or text me at 940-736-3700 and I will get you signed up. The shifts are 6-8:30 and 8:30 to 11. If you are working the early shift, please plain to be there between 5:30 and 5:45. We are getting closer to achieving our goal for fundraising so please help us make this event a success! Thanks go out to all who have been working and planning this event! We look forward to giving Callisburg a great prom this year!!

Ok everyone, we have changed the Parent's Night Out fundraiser to December 15. The time will be 6pm to 11pm at the Callisburg middle school gym. We will be providing child care for children ages 4 to 12 so that parents can have a night out to Christmas shop or just go out to eat and the movies! We will be entertaining the kids with a variety of stations, such as, face painting, story corner, karaoke, sports activities, fingernail painting, movies and arts/crafts. We will also be providing pizza, lemondade and cookies. The evening will be divided into two shifts 6 to 8:30 and 8:30 to 11. Please let me know which shift you can work(or both??). We will need parents and also lots of junior students. The students will be involved in every station. Please fb me or call/text me at 940-736-3700 to let me know what shift you can help with. Mrs. Vanhuss also has a sign up sheet at school for the students. This will hopefully be our last big fundraiser(crossing our fingers that it has a good turnout). Also, hopefully everyone is still selling their raffle tickets. The drawing will be Dec 18. If you or your student hasn't received their tickets, please see Liz Vanhuss or email her at [email protected]. Our next meeting will be Dec 6 at 6:30 in the high school library. Thanks to all of you who are supporting our kids and trying to make this year's prom a great success!! Please pass the word that we still need more participation. It will take us all to achieve our goal!!

If you missed tonights meeting, the junior class voted for "The Sweetest Goodbye" as this year's prom theme. We discussed some ideas for decorating but need input from others. Please come out to the Fall Festival on Saturday and show support for the junior class at their face painting booth. If you don't want to have your face painted, we welcome donations!! We will also be hosting a Parent's Night Out fundraiser on December 8. Please come to our next meeting on Thursday, Nov 8 at 6:30pm to learn more about that activity and participate in making this the best prom ever for our kids! Next junior class prom planning meeting will be Thursday, Oct 25 at 6:30 in the high school library. The students are set to vote on the theme this week. Hope everyone is busy selling their raffle tickets. If your student has not gotten their tickets, please have them see Mrs. Vanhuss or email her. We have one game left to work for the CAYSA concession and gate. If anyone (parent or junior student) can work this Sat, Oct 27 from 12:00 to 4:30, please let me know asap! We are just lacking one worker to be full. I know everyone has busy schedules but this is a big fund raiser for the junior class:) We are also having a face painting booth at the elementary school Fall Festival from this Sat from 4pm to 7pm. Please come out and support the kids. The students will be doing all the painting!! Donations are welcome! Thanks for all the support we have had so far.
