It’s Why Alpha Chi Wednesday!
Let’s hear why rising Junior Audrey, a Business Management major, chose AXO!
I didn’t come to Brenau wanting to go Greek. In fact I actively avoided it despite my now sisters efforts to get me to sign up for recruitment. I watched some of my friends go through recruitment and began spending time in the Alpha Chi house. Even before I was a member, I felt welcomed in alpha chi by everyone. When I became a member, that love I was shown didn’t end but just became stronger. I don’t have a super supportive family of my own but Alpha Chi has given me a family that I know will be there for me no matter what and will enthusiastically cheer me on in everything I do. These women are truly my sisters, they are people I want at my graduation, wedding, and every other big life event I have in the future. I’m beyond blessed to call Alpha Chi Omega my home.

It’s Why Alpha Chi Wednesday!
Let’s hear why rising Senior Alden, a Psychology major, chose AXO!
I was drawn to Alpha Chi by the kindness and openness that I was met with when I first entered the house. At first I was shy but everyone included me in conversation and made me feel like I was already their good friend! I stay in Alpha Chi because I feel so much support and love from every one of my sisters. The women of Alpha Chi want nothing but the best for eachother!!! As a transfer student I was so afraid that I wouldn’t have enough time to make close friendships that will last a lifetime but I was so lucky to be able to make those friendships in AXO!

It’s Why Alpha Chi Wednesday!
Let’s hear why rising Junior Tori, a BFA Acting major, chose AXO!
Coming to college, one of the biggest things I was afraid of was that I wasn’t going to find a community. I’m a person who thrives off of being with others and I’m someone who needs to have and be a part of a support system. At Brenau Bound, my mom made me talk to the sororities that were tabling and I met SG and Grace. It felt as if I was talking to close friends that I had known for years, instead of two random girls I had met just seconds before. That’s when I knew I wanted to go Alpha Chi. Then recruitment rolled around and the second I was in the Alpha Chi house, I felt like I was at home. I felt like I was in a place and surrounded by women who made me feel like I could be myself and who I knew would support me no matter what. That’s when I knew I belonged in Alpha Chi. Now, it may seem corny when I call the Tau women my sisters, but what we have is truly such a strong bond, it cannot be called anything but a sisterhood. LITB ❤️❤️

It’s Why Alpha Chi Wednesday ❣️💚⭐️
Let’s hear why rising Senior Rylee, a Psychology major, chose AXO!
In May of 2025, my old university shut down. I felt lost, alone, and unsure of what my future had in store for me. Thankfully, Coach Bralee of the BU Competition Cheer team welcomed me into their program with open arms. But so did Tau. I remember the day I announced my commitment to Brenau, I received a DM from Victoria Woods, a sister whose old university ALSO shut down. I felt seen. We kept in touch over the Summer, and I finally got to meet her in the Fall at the Greek Block Party. We clicked instantly, as well as the rest of the sisters I got to meet that day. As soon as I stepped into the house for the first time during recruitment, I knew AXO was where I was meant to go. I didn’t have to pretend to be someone or something that I wasn’t. I could be unapologetically myself. It felt easy being there, natural. Like I was at home. This past year with Alpha Chi has been the greatest year of my life. From trips to Farmhouse with Ella and Edi, my big & great grand big, to weekly Dancing with the Stars parties, and late night laughs with my roommate and sister Tori, AXO made such a hard transition and time of my life easy. It breaks my heart knowing I didn’t come to Brenau sooner, and that I only get two years with these girls, but the time I do get with them, I wouldn’t trade for the world.

On the last Wednesday of April, we recognize Denim Day. Denim Day began in the 1990s as a protest against a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court that overturned a r**e conviction because the victim was wearing tight jeans. This decision sparked an international movement to challenge victim blaming and raise awareness about sexual violence. Clothing is never a justification for sexual assault. Denim day is the longest running sexual assault awareness campaign seeking to educate people on this issue. AXO recognizes denim day each year to support survivors.
