We know our bread and butter is ammonia refrigeration, but did you know that R-718—better known as water—is the primary refrigerant used in vacuum cooling systems?

Vacuum cooling rapidly chills produce by lowering the pressure until water boils at a much lower temperature. As that water evaporates, it removes heat from the product, quickly cooling it while helping preserve freshness.

So here's to everyone using R-718 to keep leafy greens crisp from the field to the produce aisle...

LAKERS! The flyover bridge construction project at Lanier Tech's Hall campus has entered a new phase. Construction on a new roundabout at the campus entrance has started. Because of this, there is a new traffic pattern for entering and exiting the Hall Campus.
