We started creating a new bed a few weeks ago thanks to these awesome club members! We planted lettuce, carrots, and spinach on one half. We plan to plant kale and potatoes on the other half.
Hey all my sustainable/garden-loving UF people:
Our awesome advisor for the gardens, Anna Prizzia, is teaching the spring course: Campus Garden Design Practicum (CALS ALS4932).
This unique class is both interdisciplinary and action-oriented. Students will learn and apply the basics of landscape design, sustainable agriculture, interpretation, and participatory planning in a group project to develop a conceptual plan and design for the student gardens on the University of Florida campus. Class is Thurs, 4-7pm. Email Anna Prizzia – [email protected] for more information or to register (permission required).
Hello all, hope you've been enjoying your fall semester!
Plot rentals and garden upkeep are in full swing and we are super excited that the gardens are looking like their pre-summer self.
If you're interested in renting a plot, contact Tori at [email protected].
Also, we'll be posting more about the Eternally Edible Landscaping Club meetings which are Friday evenings. We're having one this Friday so come on out!
Oh! Duh! A note on plot rentals:
If you are going to attend our meeting in the hopes of attaining a plot, note that small plots are $10 for the semester and large plots are $20. Please bring cash or check with you. If you bring a check, it will need to be written out to the Student Agricultural Gardens.
Thanks!
