ALACHUA COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS BAG POLICY

Bobcats, thank you for helping us create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone at our athletic events!

For all SBAC athletic events, spectators are welcome to bring ONE of the following:
Clear Tote — Plastic, vinyl, or PVC; no larger than 12" × 6" × 12"
Clear Plastic Zip-Top Bag — No larger than 1 gallon, resealable, and clear
Medical Items — Items necessary due to a medical condition

For everyone’s safety, all individuals and permitted bags/medical items may be subject to a search.

As part of our entry procedures, spectators will also be asked to walk through a screening/wanding process upon entry.

To help make entry as smooth as possible, please leave prohibited bags and items at home or return them to your vehicle before entering the venue.

The Buchholz School Counselors invite you to join us for “The Road to the Future,” a special presentation designed to help families navigate the many opportunities and decisions that come after high school.

6:00 PM
Buchholz Auditorium
Immediately before Open House

During this informative session, our school counselors will share valuable information about:

• College planning
• Scholarships and financial aid
• Career pathways and post-secondary opportunities
• Resources to help students plan for their future

Whether your student is considering college, career training, the workforce, or another pathway after graduation, this presentation will provide helpful information and resources to support their journey.

We hope you will join us for this important evening as we help our students take the next steps on the road to their future!

Monday - Chain Together, Brain Together (paper chain links)
Tuesday - Attached at the Hip, Come Get some Drip (friendship bracelets)
Wednesday - Score a Win, Get a Pin (class buttons)
Thursday - Sign the Sheet, Get a Treat (candy giveaway)
Friday - Wear Your Class T and Get a Slush-Y (wear your T-shirt from Orientation)

Congratulations to our Golden Bobcat of the Week, Mr. Gilbert-Rolfe!

The Golden Bobcat Award is presented each week to a teacher who truly embodies Bobcat Pride, and Mr. Gilbert-Rolfe is the epitome of what it means to be a Bobcat!

Mr. Gilbert-Rolfe is hardworking and always willing to go above and beyond to support his students, his colleagues, and our school. His love and enthusiasm for history are evident in everything he does—and have you seen his posters?! They are truly something special!

He is also always ready with a kind smile and a friendly hello whenever you pass him in the halls. His positivity and willingness to help make a difference every day.

Thank you, Mr. Gilbert-Rolfe, for your dedication to our students, your commitment to our school, and for being such a valued teammate. We are incredibly lucky to have you as part of the BHS family!

The 9th Grade Team is excited to challenge all Freshman students to meet the First Quarter Challenge: No Referrals! Students who successfully maintain good behavior will receive an exclusive reward during Homecoming Week.

And a special thank you to the 9th grade Team teachers, who go above and beyond to support our students as they make this huge transition to high school. Your efforts are paying off!
