📚Our annual International Literacy Night & Art Glow Show were a great success last night! Students engaged in literacy games and traveled “around the world”! We had food from various cultures, storytime in different languages, an amazing Art Glow show full of artwork and animal creations, and a heartwarming music performance by our 3rd Grade students celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month! What a wonderful community time together-thank you for everyone that helped make this event a success and for all of our Sardis families that were able to come!! 📚

💛💙🐾 Teacher Feature Friday Time! 🐾💙💛

With over twenty-five years of dedicated service in education, Mrs. Turk gives her heart and experience to our school community every day!

Her educational journey began full-time in 2002, serving as a paraprofessional here at Sardis, in our Emotional/Behavioral classroom. That foundation of deep empathy and individualized student support laid the groundwork for her transition in 2015 to her current role as a Special Education Resource Teacher. Mrs. Turk firmly believes it is her job to teach students how to be lifelong learners, problem solvers, and critical thinkers.

Mrs. Turk has been married to her husband, Arvin, for 36 years. They have two boys, Matthew, 35 and Brandon 29. Brandon is married to Jasmine and they have two boys; Brantley, 3 and Stetson 1 who are the apples of their Nana’s eye. Mrs. Turk also loves animals and has a dog, Maggy Mae and two cats, Hobbs and Cooper. She loves spending time with her family and is excited to attend Brantley’s first T-Ball game in a few days. She also enjoys college football. GO DAWGS!

Did you know? Mrs. Turk loves to play co****le and plays competitively at the lowest level. She also loves to hunt even though she doesn’t get to go very often anymore because her hubby doesn’t like the cold!

If you ask her students to describe her, they will all say, “she loves her coffee”!

Mrs. Turk’s unwavering commitment to empowering students beyond the textbook helps shape resilient, curious, and confident learners. We are so grateful for her years of service, leadership, and heart!

Our students in Mrs. Margavich, Ms. Murray and Mrs. Williams classes went to Warbington Farms on Wednesday to explore the pumpkin patch and learn about how pumpkins grow. We enjoyed a hayride to see the cows and played on the farm.

"Once a Bobcat, Always a Bobcat" is true for our community. We are excited to announce our 2026–2027 WarCat scholarship recipient: the Chestatee Academy Girls Cross Country team!

What an incredible season these runners had! They came in 1st at every single county meet, took 2nd place at both the Mountain Invitational and the War Eagle Invitational, and earned 3rd place at the NH Invitational.

They are the first Hall County Champions for girls XC at Chestatee since 2008.

This success runs deep for our Bobcats—over half of this championship team actually got their start running with the Sardis Running Club!

A special shout out goes out to Mr. Yarrington and all the running club teacher sponsors. Their constant support of the Sardis Running Club helped build the solid foundation for these athletes to thrive.

We are so remarkably proud of your hard work, grit, and dedication. Running cross country takes serious heart and endurance, and you showed everyone what it takes to perform like champions every time you hit the course.

The following will run at state in Cochran, Georgia this Saturday:

Isabella Hastman, Vivian Milne, Xanath Duarte, Alice Smiley, Riley Reed, Kate Irvin, and Claire Hunley (not pictured), Alternates: Gia Esquilin and Carly Aguilar

Keep pushing your limits, lifting each other up, and aim high — Sardis is cheering you on!
GO WARCATS! 🐾🦅💙💛
