For National First-Gen Day, DAS student Marzani Kirkland shared her experience being a first-generation college student and talked about how Digital Worlds has opened her eyes to endless career possibilities. She also gave advice to first-gen students just starting out in college.

In order to understand how AI can be applied to the study of human body movement analysis, Digital Worlds faculty collaborated with colleagues from across the UF College of the Arts. From applications in dance move attribution efforts, to working with blockchain technology, this research is representative of the pursuit of digital convergence that's at the heart of the institute's work.

The Digital Worlds operations team gave the Reality Lab, which houses the MiDAS cohort, a facelift this summer. New tech combined with a learning environment built around flexibility is allowing innovation and collaboration to flourish.
