"Reading about the lives of prominent artists, their backgrounds, struggles, ambitions, and the blossoming of their subsequent chosen methods is a window into entering a deeper and richer understanding of what the viewer is witnessing. Why did certain artists use bright, bold colors while others preferred a muted palette? Why paint mostly scenes of nature while others preferred to portray people? What was going on in the life of the artist when a particular painting was coming to fruition? Students can learn about the lives of these ordinary children who grew up to do extraordinary work, where their ideas came from, and what life was like for them so many years ago. These artists left an incredible legacy; studying their personal stories will add to the enjoyment."

💡Our faculty includes educators like Sandy Blankenship, who holds a Master of Fine Arts from Florida State University, is a Certified Wilson Practitioner, and is a Qualified ASDEC Multi-Sensory Math Instructor.
