Welcome Back, as we start another semester. We hope everyone had a great summer. We look forward to a great year ahead. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new faculty to the department Assistant Professor Dr. Tristan Goodwill and Visiting Assistant Professor’s Dr. Brian Ransom and Lecturer Rachel Frankel. We are excited to welcome Ana Terra as an Administrative Specialist I on our staff. Ana comes to the Mathematics Department from UF/IFAS. Please extend your warmest welcome to the newest member of the Mathematics family!

We would like to take this moment and tell Kristen, THANKS for being a great member of the team for the past little over four years. As she ended her journey today with the Department. We wish her the best in the next chapter and we know she will do amazing things. The Department will not be the same without her. We will miss you. Keep in touch. Always remember the moments.

Undergraduate Mathematics Research Symposium @ UF

The sixth annual Undergraduate Mathematics Research Symposium (UMRS) at UF will take place on April 24, 2026, 9:00am–3:30pm, in Little Hall 225. The symposium provides an opportunity for undergraduate math majors to present research, including honors theses, REU projects, and other work.
