Warrington is now producing its own business cases.

The University of Florida Warrington College of Business has launched the Warrington Case Series, led by Clinical Associate Professor Michael Carrillo and published by Warrington Press, an imprint of the University of Florida Press. The series joins a tradition of teaching cases developed at leading business schools, grounded in real institutional and managerial challenges.

It opens with a case close to home: how UF turned a landmark multi-party gift in 2021, $85 million anchored by HiPerGator, then the fastest supercomputer in higher education, into university-wide change. The initiative has since prompted more than 230 AI-designated courses across all 16 colleges, over 100 new AI-focused faculty, and a model to integrate AI across every discipline on campus.

It’s the first of a series that will go inside the initiative, leader by leader.

Warrington welcomes Gary McGill as its new Interim Dean!

Forty years at Warrington. Senior Associate Dean since 2021. Longest-serving Director of the Fisher School of Accounting. President-elect of the American Accounting Association, the largest global association in the field. Few people know this college better, or care more about the people in it.

“Building on our strong foundations and history is a challenge that we enthusiastically accept,” McGill said.

A new chapter begins August 1.
