Last summer I built the frames for these balconies in Micanopy, Fl. This summer I did the rails, and now the customer will paint and install plank flooring (which is worth a discount because I don’t enjoy painting). Can’t wait to see the finished space!

This piece is almost a reliquary. The glass ampoule fitted to this .50 cal. steel dummy round contains actual sand from Utah beach in Normandy. I’m sure time has washed all the American blood away, but it’s hallowed ground in my book. Wish I could keep it or make more, but I know the owner will cherish it.
