See the reminder below about tonight‘s football game:

Buchholz High School Families,

We are looking forward to an exciting night of Bobcat football as Buchholz High School takes on Eastside High School tonight at Citizens Field! As we prepare for what is expected to be a very well-attended game, we want to share important information regarding tonight’s safety and security procedures.

To promote the safety of our students, staff, athletes, and fans, additional measures will be in place, including:

-Increased law enforcement presence throughout the stadium and surrounding areas.
-Hand-held metal detectors to screen all fans entering the stadium.
-Strict enforcement of the Alachua County Public Schools clear bag policy. Bags that do not meet district requirements will not be permitted.
-Longer entry times due to enhanced security procedures.

Please arrive early and allow additional time to enter. Gates open at 6:30.
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

🏈 Stadium Entrances and Seating: Buchholz High School is the VISITING team.

➡️ BHS Visitor Entrance: NE 14th Street

Eastside High School is the HOME team.

➡️ EHS Home Entrance: Waldo Road

Once inside Citizens Field, fans will not be permitted to move between the home and visitor sides. Please make sure you enter through the Buchholz visitor entrance on NE 14th Street.

We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and support as we work together to ensure tonight’s game is a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for everyone.

PTSA General Meeting, Sept. 8th, 7:00 pm via Zoom

Join us for our first general meeting of the year, open to all Buchholz families. We will hear a schoolwide update from Mr. Purvis, learn what PTSA has planned for the year, and vote on our budget. We will also hear from guest speaker, Laura Parra, about what parents need to know about youth va**ng trends, including what va**ng devices look like (and how easily they can be disguised), health risks, and practical ways to talk with your teen. Even if you don’t think va**ng is an issue for your student, this is information every high school parent can benefit from knowing.
