The Marxist Reading Group (MRG) and the Speculative Fiction Reading Group (SFRG) are holding a joint meeting on Friday, March 1st at 5 pm at The Bull (18 SW 1st Ave).
We will be reading M.E. O'Brien's "Communizing Care" in P***o Magazine and an interview with M.E. O'Brien and Eman Abdelhadi in Truthout about their co-written utopian fiction novel Everything for Everyone: An Oral History of the New York Commune, 2052โ2072. M.E. O'Brien will be one of the keynotes for our conference in April.

Our first in-person SFRG meeting was a big hit! Huge thanks to those of you who were able to attend this past weekend. This movie screening was definitely the perfect way to celebrate the end of the Fall 2021 semester! ๐๐ฌ๐ฝ

The second Speculative Fiction Reading Group (SFRG) meeting will be taking place this coming Saturday, December 11th at 6PM. We will be meeting to watch the 1956 film Invasion of the Body Snatchers (directed by Don Siegal).
While this โwatch partyโ will be primarily hosted on an (easily accessible) website (https://twoseven.xyz), I would also like to allow us the opportunity to meet in-person as well. So, depending on your individual preference, you may choose to either join us virtually on Saturday or in-person (at my apartment, right near campus) for this film screening!
