🍑🎭 One School. One GIANT Adventure. A Whole Lot of MAGIC! Today, we took learning beyond the classroom as our ENTIRE all 610 students plus every staff member to Brenau University for a magical performance of James and the Giant Peach by the Gainesville Theatre Alliance!
EVERYONE was part of this peachy adventure!

📏👣 HOW BIG IS A FOOT?! Who knew a little foot could lead to some BIG learning! Second graders put their math skills to work with a fun, hands-on measuring adventure inspired by How Big Is a Foot?

Armed with their measuring tools and plenty of curiosity, our little mathematicians explored the classroom, measuring everything from desks and chairs to objects around the room!
We are making BIG waves in learning… one LITTLE foot at a time! 🐅❤️🌊🐘

Kindergarten Took Learning to Skitts Mountain Farms! They traded the classroom for wide-open spaces and spent the day learning, exploring, moving, and making memories together!

Hands on funny at its finish! A wagon ride, observing the world around them, talking about living and nonliving things, plants, animals, movement, and the natural materials they could see and touch. And of course, there was plenty of time for FUN with activities like jumpy pillows, tricycles, duck races, mini golf, pumpkins, and farm adventures! 🍁

These are the days that remind us that some of the very best learning happens when children get to experience it for themselves! Big smiles, little boots, lots of learning, and memories our kindergarteners will be talking about for a long time!

It was a SUPER-SIZED special day for Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning at Fair Street School in Gainesville City School System because we also got a visit from City of Gainesville, Georgia Mayor Zach Thompson and his bestie Jessie the Chicken!

Guess who got a visit from the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning for ? That’s right Fair Street School in Gainesville City School System did!

Our students loved hearing Representative Matt Dubnik read to our littlest of learners, getting free books and backpacks from Ferst Readers and loved meeting CALi!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and our school is showing up in PINK on Wednesdays for ! We are wearing pink to honor the fighters, celebrate the survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and stand with every family impacted by breast cancer🌸 Let’s fill our school with PINK, HOPE, and LOVE! 💕✨

Happy Coaches Day to our amazing Literacy Coach, Karen McCusker! We love Karen a bunch, so a beautiful bunch of flowers felt just right! 💐
And what better gift for an educator than an apple-scented candle? A little nod to the classic teacher apple, while also celebrating the way Karen brings warmth and light to Fair Street every day!
