Today, we wrapped up our last Eye Opener before summer, and it was an honor to welcome Dr. Nicole Davis and her colleagues from the UF Health Mobile Stroke Program. Dr. Davis shared how the Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit (MSTU) is transforming stroke care across Florida by improving quality of life, reducing hospital stays, and lowering mortality risk for stroke patients through rapid, specialized treatment delivered directly in the field.

Thank you to Dr. Davis and the entire MSTU team for showcasing the lifesaving work you are doing every day to serve communities across our state.

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a campus visit with representatives from Rep. Kat Cammack’s office and the Senate Committee on Agriculture to explore The Future of Florida Agriculture.

From touring the Bee Lab (and taking home some sweet Florida honey) to diving into blueberry research and experiencing a field tour at the Plant Science Research and Education Unit, it was a hands-on look at the innovation driving our state forward. The visit wrapped up with dinner at Spurrier’s and a special appearance by UF Olympic gold medalist Bobby Finke.

Grateful for the opportunity to showcase the impact of UF’s research and the future of agriculture in Florida 🌱
