Our Story

The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants (UF/IFAS CAIP) was established in 1978 by the Florida legislature and utilizes expertise from many departments within UF/IFAS and its agricultural research and education centers throughout Florida.

The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants is a key leader in research, teaching and extension as it relates to developing evidence-based techniques for the management of aquatic and natural area w**d species. The vision of UF/IFAS CAIP is to be the leading voice for invasive plant research and education in Florida and beyond.
