Brother Francois was honored to meet and DJ for two pioneers of The Florida Gators Football program. Leonard George (left) and Willie Jackson Sr. (right) were honored this past weekend by the University of Florida for their achievements as the first two African-American Scholarship football players in the program. A permanent mural inside Gate 3 will recognize each man for their strength, sacrifice and courage.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brother Isiah “Ike“ Wilson IV on June 4, 2021. Brother Wilson crossed Fall 2000 as part of I.S. Lost Soulz and was an integral member of our chapter serving in multiple capacities, including Chapter Polaris, Stepmaster, and Dean of Pledges. Brother Wilson was also a member of the football team and involved with other campus organizations during his time at the University of Florida. In addition to his contributions on campus, Brother Wilson played an important part of chartering chapters at UCF (Epsilon Eta), USF (Zeta Delta) and EWC (Zeta Kappa).
Brother Wilson went on to work as a Child Protective Investigator, and most recently as a high school Social Studies teacher and football coach at Lyman High School. Brother Wilson is survived by his wife Amanda and their two children.
Our condolences and prayers go out to his immediate family and our fellow Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc brothers. Please read our pinned comment regarding Ike’s Homecoming Celebration.

Iota Phi Theta® Fraternity, Inc. will forever pay homage to African American heroes and trailblazers of the past, but during this month we like to place the spotlight on our present-day brothers and sisters who are creating a history that our children will be reading about! 28 days are not enough to adequately show our gratitude but we will make the most of it.
