UF Day of Difference

UF Enactus is recruiting responsible and motivated college students FROM ALL MAJORS to serve as a positive role model in classrooms around Gainesville. You can volunteer as an individual, with a partner, or through an organization. For Fall 2016, Day of Difference will focus on grades Kindergarten through 2nd and will take place on November 18th!

Day of Difference is an Enactus Legacy project that takes place every Fall and Spring semester. The project partners with Junior Achievement to reach underprivileged students in the Gainesville community. It aims to inspire elementary kids to dream big. They learn about careers, the flow of money, entrepreneurship, etc. which is curriculum they would otherwise never be exposed to. The Day of Difference mission is to build the students' self-confidence, broaden their horizons, and instill in them that they can do anything they want to do.

Essentially, you only have to go to one training session, you get pizza, you get a partner, and you get to be an elementary school teacher for a few hours and inspire kids to dream big by playing games. Plus this is an amazing resume booster! This is such a special and rewarding way to give back!

Loved volunteering earlier this month or so sad you did not get to? Then this is the opportunity for you! We have had a few more classes that would love to specifically have thriving UF students volunteer.
1. Alachua Elementary: 4th and 5th grade – there are five 4th grade and five 5th grade.
2. Meadowbrook Elementary: 4th grade – there are only 5 classes.

Our team is excited to kick off our first training session in exactly one week!

Come out to Heavener 240 at 6:15 TONIGHT to learn more about becoming a part of Day of Difference on April 10th. UF students from all majors and backgrounds are encouraged to attend. We can't wait to meet you!
