A huge congratulations to our own Sarah Tanke for being awarded the Alice Burlingame Humanitarian Service Award!

Sarah is one of our amazing instructors of the certificate program. While we wish she was local to Gainesville, she lives and works in Chapel Hill, NC as the Therapeutic Horticulture Community Engagement Specialist at the North Carolina Botanical Garden, working with diverse populations like adults with severe and persistent mental illness, exceptional children, and adults experiencing cognitive decline.

We love having her on our team and couldn’t think of a more deserving person for this award! 🧡
