A reminder that every aviator’s journey begins with curiosity, learning, and perseverance.
Today we remember and honor the pioneers who made flight possible and continue to inspire future aviators.

🚨 The FAA has officially released AC 61-146, the new advisory circular detailing all MOSAIC-related changes to sport pilot certification, operational privileges, instructor qualifications, and the brand-new “simplified flight controls” designation.

The AC provides clear guidance on:
✅ Expanded aircraft eligibility (including up to 4 seats for airplanes)
✅ New endorsement requirements for VH, retractable gear, and manual controllable-pitch props
✅ Night flying privileges for sport pilots
✅ Practical test requirements when adding airplane or helicopter privileges
✅ New rotorcraft-helicopter sport pilot and instructor pathways
✅ Model-specific training requirements for simplified flight controls
✅ ATD/FSTD credit allowances
…and much more.

This is one of the most significant updates to sport pilot rules since 2004, and it reshapes how pilots and instructors train, certify, and operate under MOSAIC.
