The Presidential Service Awards application is officially open!🏅This prestigious recognition, accompanied by a medallion, honors graduating undergraduate students with 400+ volunteer hours and graduate/professional students with 200+ volunteer hours. Eligible students graduating in Spring, Summer, or Fall 2025 are encouraged to apply by March 3, 2025. The awards ceremony will take place at the end of the semester. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate your commitment to service!

Swap your typical spring break plans for something extraordinary! Join generations of Gators by embarking on a Florida Alternative Breaks (FAB) service trip! Whether you’re rebuilding communities impacted by hurricanes in Tampa Bay or conserving estuarine ecosystems in St. Augustine, you’ll gain hands-on experience, new perspectives, and lifelong memories.

Ending the semester with service! Thank you to the students and local veterans who came to our Painting with Veterans event at the Harn Museum of Art! A special thanks to the Gainesville Vet Center for partnering with us for this event! Also, thanks to our community partner, Bake Back America, for providing the supplies.

Did you know that UF students have been participating in Projects for Peace since 2007? For 17 consecutive years, the national Projects for Peace organization has funded undergraduate Gators to complete service projects around the world. You could be next! The application for Projects for Peace is open until Jan. 22!

How could you change the world with $10,000? We are excited to announce the annual Projects for Peace application for undergraduate students will be open Nov. 8 and close on Jan. 22, 2025! Ready to make a difference for our oceans? We’re taking students to Cedar Key, FL for a coastal cleanup! Spend a day soaking up the sun, exploring the coast, and removing harmful trash from our precious ecosystems. Transportation, lunch, and a t-shirt are all provided.

Last week, 100 students went into the community and made an impact through the LeadUF Day of Service! Collectively, they served more than 360 hours, resulting in an economic impact of over $12,000 on our local community. A special thank you to our four service sites:
- Lake Forest Elementary School
- St. Francis House
- Grace Marketplace
- Bread of the Mighty Food Bank

We want to extend our gratitude to our 2024 LeadUF keynote speakers! This past week, 100 students participated in the four-day LeadUF conference for first-year, second-year, and transfer students. This conference serves as a pathway to leadership and service at UF. Thank you, Alison and Aimée, for sharing your inspiring words of wisdom!
