We had a beautiful day at our Farm to School Hub - Alachua County Public Schools today celebrating the start of summer, our Farm to School Hub and the Summer meals kick off! Thank you to everyone who attended today! We gave out 286 meal kits to attendees! Happy last day of school! We are thankful for all of our customers and hope that you enjoy your summer! For the past few years our Food Service Program has used the concept of "Beehive Leadership" to guide and motivate our team. Our theme this year was "Bee Positive, Kind, Grateful and Honest". We celebrated the end of the school year with a fun video from cafeteria's throughout the county with the theme "Finishing Strong in the Hive". We are so thankful for all of our team members!

We are excited to announce that our FREE summer meals program will be starting June 8th - July 24th! We have two great ways for children 18 & younger to have access to meals this summer! 7 day Grab & Go breakfast and lunch meal kits will be available for pick up at 12 locations throughout Alachua County every Monday on the following days - 6/8, 6/15, 6/22, 6/29, 7/6, 7/13 , 7/20. Summer is just around the corner and our Food & Nutrition team is gearing up to feed all children 18 & younger in the community at over 70 locations (more finalized location details to be posted soon). The summer meals kick off will be held on June 3rd at our Farm to School Hub. We have lots of activities planned and will be handing out a Box with 5 days worth of breakfast and lunch meals.
