One white coat can change the way a future nurse steps into patient care for the very first time. Through the White Coat Campaign, you can help create that unforgettable moment for a future .
The first white coat ceremony is a milestone nursing students carry with them for the rest of their lives. It marks the transition from learning in the classroom to caring for patients in real-world settings.
Supporters of UF College of Nursing are helping provide white coats for incoming nursing students beginning their first clinical rotations. Each $35 gift directly supports a student and serves as a reminder that they are backed by a strong and caring Gator Nursing community.
Help welcome the next generation of Nurse Leaders and invest in the future of compassionate patient care.

Today, we pause to remember Brooke Elizabeth Smith, a student whose loss is felt deeply across the UF College of Nursing community.
To Brooke's family and loved ones, we extend our deepest condolences. We cannot begin to imagine your grief, but please know that she was deeply valued here, respected by faculty, cherished by peers, and an important part of our college. We hold you in our thoughts and close in our hearts.
Brooke was a future nurse, a caregiver in the making who chose a life of service, compassion and care for others. In moments like this, it is especially important that we turn that same compassion inward and toward each other, leaning on our community for support.
We will continue to come together in kindness, in support, and in remembrance of Brooke as we grieve as a Gator Nursing family.

At just $35 per coat, your gift directly supports a student taking their first step from the classroom into patient care while reminding them an entire Gator Nursing community believes in them.

Accelerated BSN hit the ground running during their first weeks at UF College of Nursing, touring all three Gainesville campuses of UF Health: UF Health Shands Hospital, UF Health Cancer Hospital and UF Health Heart and Vascular Hospital.
Led by hospital nurses, the two-hour tours gave students an inside look at units such as pediatrics and the adult burn unit while helping them become familiar with the hospitals where they may complete future clinical experiences. From learning campus layouts to exploring patient care spaces, students gained an early introduction to the fast-paced clinical environments they will soon join.
