Unfortunately, Huntington is still slated to be rezoned to Talbot next year. ACPS Board has voted to allow SummerCreek and Greystone (one and two neighborhoods over) to stay at Meadowbrook. It is strongly suggested that “we” email the board with our opposing concerns of this rezone. The last and final meeting before the rezone goes into full force is November 14th at 6pm. Please try to make this meeting as one person will not be enough to represent all of the families that do not wish to change schools.

There is a community input meeting tomorrow Tuesday 10/10/23 at GHS at 5:30. I hope you all can attend as it will take more than one person standing up to make a change.

Please join us Sunday September 10th at 4pm for another families against the rezone meeting. The meeting will be held at the entrance of Huntington West. We will discuss plans for gathering signatures for our petition and make plans to attend the upcoming community input meetings.

Several parents are meeting tomorrow evening at 6:20 in Huntington West on NW 42nd Rd to start planning our fight against the rezone. Hope to see you there.

It’s great to see the word getting out about the page. I think this will be a great way for all of us to communicate. It also gives us the opportunity to share with others outside of Huntington. With that being said I think it would be a great idea to team up with Summer Creek and Greystone families. So please if you know anyone in those neighborhoods or even in ours who is not a part of the page, let’s help get them here.
