A message from our Vice President of Membership Recruitment

I was never someone who thought I would go through sorority recruitment. Throughout the entire process, I kept an open mind and stayed true to myself. Every time I walked out of those AOII red doors, I felt like the girls I had talked to had been my friends for years. There was something so comforting about AOII that gave me the confidence to simply be my unique self.
Because of the women who recruited me, years later, I now find myself as Vice President of Recruitment. My goal is for every PNM who walks through the AOII doors to feel that same sense of comfort and belonging that I felt. It’s so special to now have the opportunity to give others the experience that once meant so much to me.
What started as just a place, has become such an important part of who I am and who I’ve grown into throughout college. My life is now filled with authentic friendships and people who have made AOII feel like home. AOII has pushed me outside of my comfort zone, given me opportunities to lead, and taught me so much about myself along the way.
Some of the moments that have meant the most to me are the ones I never could have expected when I first joined. Looking back, I’m so grateful for every experience, every lesson, and every person who has been a part of my time here. I would choose AOII over and over again. ♥️
