The UF Levin College of Law has held many mock trials in its Ultima Morgan & John Morgan Courtroom. But it's not often that the witnesses and jury are all psychiatrists.
With the help of a volunteer judge and senior litigation attorneys from the UF Self-Insurance Programs, UF Department of Psychiatry residents, fellows and faculty were immersed in an afternoon of forensic child psychiatry, determining whether a fictional patient was not guilty by reason of insanity.

This summer our psychiatry residents stepped into a UF Levin College of Law courtroom for an interactive mock trial designed to strengthen their forensic psychiatry skills, prepare them for future courtroom testimony, and provide hands-on experience with real-world legal scenarios.
