Welcome back, Gators! 🐊💙

The first day of classes makes healthy habits feel easy—the rec center is packed, planners are fresh, and all those good intentions are in place. But here’s your reminder: your FDOC intentions aren’t a contract to be perfect.

You might scroll during class even though you said you wouldn’t. You might skip the gym, forget to check your planner, or fall out of a routine. That’s okay. The goal isn’t to do everything perfectly—it’s to start small, check in with yourself, and give yourself room to reset.

Pick one habit or routine from last semester you want to focus on, and remember that support is always available when you need it. And Don’t hesitate to come see your friendly neighborhood Counseling & Wellness Center. 👋

Here’s to a semester of realistic intentions, small steps, and lots of grace. 💙🐊

We are the UF Counseling & Wellness Center staff. Ask us anything about counseling, mental health support, and finding wellness in college.

We are live on r/ufl — We’re here to answer questions about counseling, mental health support, crisis resources, confidentiality, and how students can get connected with services.

We’ll be answering questions from 12:00–1:30 PM ET on July 8th.

This AMA is for general information only. We can’t provide personal counseling, clinical advice, or crisis support through Reddit. If you or someone you know needs immediate support, please visit our crisis resource page.

The beautiful game is better when nobody plays alone. If you notice the signs in yourself or a friend, don’t sit on the sidelines. Reach out, check in, and remember that sometimes taking a timeout is what gets you back in the game. ⚽️🧡💙
