As we bring the final week of Joyland's innovative pre-K bilingual summer transition program to a close, we are filled with gratitude for an extraordinary summer. Our students have had a fantastic time learning, growing, and preparing for their transition into Georgia pre-K this fall throughout the summer. They explored both Spanish and English by reading bilingual books, making new friends, dancing to new music, and learning songs in both languages. We also enjoyed stimulating visits from the Alliance Theater that made learning even more memorable. What began as new friendships quickly evolved into a family, and we couldn't be more proud of all that our students have accomplished. A sincere thank you to our exceptional students, supportive parents, dedicated teachers, and the Georgia STP program for making this summer such a special experience. We truly made learning enjoyable, and we look forward to seeing all our rising pre-K students continue to thrive in the upcoming school year.

Our Rising Pre-K Summer Transition students had a fantastic first week! 🌟

We enjoyed reading books in both English and Spanish, learning new songs in both languages, and even had a special visit from the Georgia Alliance Theatre. Our students are already making new friends, building confidence, and having fun while learning.

Our bilingual Rising Pre-K Summer Transition Program had an amazing first day! ☀️📚

Our friends spent the day learning about classroom transitions and rules while building new routines and friendships. We enjoyed singing, dancing, exploring learning centers, and spending time outdoors. It was wonderful to see so much excitement, curiosity, and joy as we kicked off a fun-filled summer of learning and growth!

Nuestros amigos pasaron el día aprendiendo sobre las transiciones del salón de clases y las reglas, mientras desarrollaban nuevas rutinas y amistades. Disfrutamos cantando, bailando, explorando los centros de aprendizaje y jugando al aire libre. Fue maravilloso ver tanta emoción, curiosidad y alegría mientras comenzábamos un verano lleno de aprendizaje y crecimiento.

Today we’re celebrating our oceans, the animals who call them home, and the little learners who will help shape a brighter future.

At our school, we believe kindness extends beyond the classroom — to our friends, families, communities, and the world around us.

Looking for a simple way to celebrate with your child today? Try reading a book about ocean animals, taking a family walk to pick up litter, using a reusable water bottle, or talking about why clean water matters.

Small moments like these help children build curiosity, kindness, and care for the world around them. 💙

Safety starts with the small things we practice every day: holding hands in the parking lot, walking feet in the classroom, kind reminders from teachers, and knowing when to ask a trusted adult for help.
