Start with an Intro to NSF I-Corps Workshop, then apply for the Regional Course this fall. To participate in the Regional Course, all team members must attend a workshop—so be sure to plan ahead.

National Science Foundation (NSF) I-CORPS at UF was proud to attend the 2026 Florida Semiconductor Summit! 🚀
Our team connected with attendees to share more about NSF I-CORPS and opportunities for researchers ready to move their work beyond the university.
The Summit included remarks from The Florida Semiconductor Institute’s leadership team, including David P. Arnold and Volker J. Sorger, who spoke about innovation and entrepreneurship across the institute. During the event, I-CORPS Regional Course participants met with industry contributing to their customer discovery interview goals. Justin Phelps of Team PiezoDyn conducted a live customer discovery interview, demonstrating the I-CORPS methodology in action. Troy Baker of Team Bedrock Semiconductor also earned top recognition in the Pitch Competition, reflecting the strength of this year's cohort.
From pickleball networking with Katayoon Yahyaei to collaborative sessions throughout the day, the Summit showcased Florida innovation in action.
