The STEM TCR program fosters strategic partnerships among university researchers, community members, and industry around evidence-based communication programs. The messages, techniques and strategies resulting from these collaborations can foster improved science and health literacy, which in turn can yield enhanced knowledge, engagement, and behavioral change.

Attend a public talk this Wednesday at 4:30pm given by this fall's UF Science Journalist in Residence, Rachel Nuwer. An award-winning writer, she'll discuss her reporting on topics "From Psychedelics to Wildlife Crime" in Weimer 1064, Gannett Auditorium. Book signing after the Q&A.

Please welcome our newest faculty, Dr. Austin Hubner, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Relations and STEM Translational Communication Center!

Dr. Hubner received her Master’s and Ph.D. in Communication from The Ohio State University. She joins us most recently from the University of Louisville Department of Communication where she taught Communication and Statistics. Her research program focuses on how individuals perceive and evaluate information attributed to different scientific experts as well as the social transmission of science-related messages. Welcome to the center, Dr. Hubner, we look forward to your additions to our team.
