We still can’t get over how awesome the first day in Valhalla was! Our students jumped right into learning on day one and the classrooms were buzzing as students disconnected from tech and set the tone with academic and community discourse. There’s something special about this place on the hill 💛

It was AWESOME seeing all of these fantastic faces in Valhalla today as our teachers kicked off the start of the year with everything from dissections, to a dice debrief strategy, to a psychedelic milk lab, and a variety of ways to get our students talking and build classroom community on day one! It’s great to be a Viking!

This week of pre-planning was GROOVY! ✌️🪩
We kicked off the year with a 70s theme that has a School Improvement tie-in and our staff took the Department Theme Challenge and ran with it (yes, that is Jaws 🤣).
From 70s themed professional learning to department bonding, it’s been a great week in Valhalla. We cannot wait to welcome our students on campus tomorrow!

Friday, August 7th is the first day of school! Students, you will go to your Advisement/Homeroom Teacher's Class first UNLESS your first period is at LCCA or Ivester Early College because you will go there instead of Advisement; make sure you're out at the bus ramp by 8:15 so you can get on the bus that runs to LCCA/Ivester.

Our day starts at 8:20 so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get on campus and in your seat before the bell rings. We cannot wait to see everyone--LET'S GO VIKINGS!

East Hall High School's Open House is Monday, August 3 from 4:00-7:00 PM. We are excited to welcome all of our students and their families as we kick-off of another great school year!
When students & families enter the building they can pick up a school map and an information sheet that shares all of the details and points of interest to visit during Open House. Students and families can meet teachers, tour the building, visit the Aux Gym to learn more about ways to get involved with clubs and organizations, and purchase parking passes, yearbooks, and order graduation caps and gowns. Make sure you bring some cash because the Kona Ice Truck will be in the car rider line!
