Last night was our final clarinet choir concert of the year, honoring our wonderful Professor Estrin. Several duets and small ensembles were featured, along with the full choir (including a few alumni guest appearances!!) and lovely speeches from friends. Thank you to Professor Estrin for all you’ve done for us and the choir, we ❤️ you!

We would like to congratulate 3 members of the studio for having their recitals this weekend! Rachel Weiss and Adrian Gongora played amazing junior recitals, and José Guerra played his senior recital.

This Thursday, the UF wind symphony clarinet section performed a wonderful concert, including John Mackey’s clarinet concerto “Divine Mischief”, featuring as a soloist. We are honored to have Julian bliss work with the clarinet studio over the last week.

Additionally, we performed Maslanka’s fourth symphony, with a clarinet mouthpiece feature, as seen in the third slide.

Today, the UF clarinet studio was visited by none other than . He gave feedback to a few of our students, and shared wisdom from his many years of playing. He was accompanied by Gary Winder, from Vandoren.

Later this week, Julian Bliss will be soloing with the Wind Symphony.

The wind symphony concert on December 3rd also doubles as Lindsay Gassman’s Masters Recital!

We would like to congratulate the Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band clarinet sections on two great concerts last week!

Last month, our clarinet studio members played in the band and symphony orchestra concerts, performing works by Mackey, Saint Saens, and more.

Come see us perform again this month, at the Symphonic Band concert on October 22 and Wind Ensemble concert on October 24!
