🎉📚 Celebrating Georgia Pre-K Week! 📚🎉

It’s been a wonderful week celebrating our littlest Myers Dragons! 🐉💙💛

Our Pre-K students enjoyed special guest readers, including Principal Scheman, Assistant Principal Phillips, and SRO Deputy Richmond! 📖❤️

Throughout the week, our young learners have been busy collaborating, creating, and working together while building friendships, using their imaginations, and having FUN! 🌟

We love seeing our youngest Dragons learning, growing, and showing what it means to be On FIRE! 🔥

Our Myers Dragons had a wonderful time celebrating the life and incredible legacy of Dolly Parton and her commitment to inspiring a love of reading through the Imagination Library! ✨📖

In true Dolly fashion, we filled our day with a little imagination, a whole lot of reading, and a “cup of ambition!” ☕💗 Our entire school joined together for D.E.A.R. Time — Drop Everything And Read — celebrating the joy that comes from getting lost in a great book.

To celebrate Constitution Week, Mrs. Johnson’s fifth grade class put their learning into action by writing letters to our congressmen and senators! Students shared their thoughts on why the Constitution is important to them and why it matters in our everyday lives.

We love seeing our students learn about our government, find their voices, and practice being engaged citizens! 💛💙

🔥 Building Capacity. Strengthening Partnerships. Growing Together. 🔥

Our Myers staff continues to learn and grow together! During our recent professional learning, our team focused on strengthening Parent and Family Engagement and the important role strong school-family partnerships play in student success.

Using Constructive Conversations, staff engaged in meaningful peer-to-peer discussions, shared ideas, reflected on barriers families may face, and explored ways we can create even more opportunities for families to feel welcomed, valued, and connected to our school community.

We’re proud of our staff for modeling the same collaboration, communication, and discourse we encourage in our classrooms every day! 🐉🔥
