June's Spotlight is on Allison Lemay
What’s a small change you’ve seen in a patient that made a big difference?
Allison's answer: I have a patient in constant pain for the past 6 months to very rarely painful in a couple of weeks of treatment. This patient wasn’t expecting such a rapid change. This change is pain level has made a huge difference in the patient’s ability to get restful sleep. This is one example of how our bodies have an incredible ability to heal itself with help from acupuncture.

What is moxibustion?
Moxibustion is a part of acupuncture therapy that involves burning a dried aromatic herb called mugwort on or near specific acupuncture points. The practice aims to warm and invigorate the flow of qi, stimulate blood circulation, and help resolve conditions like cold and pain.
If you're often cold and tense, moxa therapy feels deeply relaxing.
