As we approach Winter sports tryouts, please continue to turn in all paperwork to Ms. Luna or Mr. Ritenour. The required paperwork includes: VHSL physical (dated after 5/1/2023), PWCS Concussion certificate, and PWCS Blue Emergency Card. Students can pick up a blue emergency card in the Athletics Office.

The G*inesville High School Scholastic Bowl team is looking for members! Scholastic Bowl is a VHSL-sanctioned activity, and we compete with other schools in district, regional, and state competitions.
Scholastic Bowl provides the quick-witted, knowledge-filled student with an outlet for their skills. From the four core subjects of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, to wide ranging topics such as sports, art, music, and pop culture, there are questions for everyone!
There will be an interest meeting on Wednesday, September 20 from 2:15-2:45 in room 1212. Contact Mr. Orrell ([email protected]) for more information and to join in on the fun!

G*inesville High School will be hosting a Senior Information Night on Thursday, September 14th , 6:00-7:30 pm. Families will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions that will help senior's explore their post-secondary options. Representatives from the Princeton Review, Laurel Ridge Community College, Northern Virginia Community College, and ECMC The College Place will be presenting.

Please arrive early to avoid traffic delays. All traffic will need to use Linton Hall Rd. to Limestone Dr. to Wentworth Green Dr. to enter G*inesville High School.

Start senior year with a fresh start! On Monday, August 21st at 6:15am, GHS will be hosting Senior Sunrise at the outdoor amphitheater for this year's senior class! This is a tradition where students can gather with their friends before senior year officially starts with a breakfast at sunrise and games! We encourage everyone to bring a blanket or a towel as well. Can’t wait to see you there!

The Intensive is scheduled for Thursday, August 10th at 11:30am-1pm. Location details will be shared with respondents no later than August 8th. This event is for the class of 2024 only; other workshops will be offered throughout the year for all grade levels.

Save the date for the New Student Orientation on August 17th from 8:00 - 11:30 am. Students will get the chance to find their classes, and meet their teachers, counselors, and administrators. There will also be an activity fair where students can explore different clubs, sports, and activities that G*inesville has to offer. Mr. Beech will also hold a parent information session during the event. Transportation will be provided. More information will be coming soon. We hope to see you there!

Please note that you will lose access to your PWCS Office 365 account by Tuesday, July 4th 2023. You should forward any email messages that you want to keep to your personal email address. If you are concerned about losing access to your PWCS email address because you used it for college applications, you can add an out of office reply stating that "Access to my PWCS email was suspended on Tuesday, July 4th and I can be reached at [personal email address here]."
You should also save any important documents you stored on the Microsoft OneDrive locally on a personal device before July 4th as well.

The Library Club is organizing a book drive to donate to teachers and elementary students. We are collecting all books: textbooks, fiction, children’s books, YA novels, non-fiction, etc. We will not turn away any books! Books can be dropped off in a plastic container at the library's front entrance. We will be collecting books till the end of May. We look forward to all your donations that will go directly back to the community!

School security staff and the Prince William County Police investigated and have determined the threat to be unfounded. We have no reason to believe our school is in any danger.

Those in the class of 2023 should submit all offered scholarships they receive via the 2023 Scholarship Survey (linked below). The information that is input there will enable us to know which students should be recognized at the Senior Scholarship Awards on May 30th. Only students who submit their accepted scholarships via the survey will be recognized at this event; the deadline to be recognized at the scholarship awards has been extended to 5/5. Even if you student does not want to be recognized, please have them submit all offered scholarships.
