Dr. Larisa Olesova, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Educational Technology Program, was awarded the Center for Teaching Excellence’s Rising Star Award. To earn this award, Dr. Olesova participated in professional development programs focused on best practices and innovations in teaching, including the Office of Global Learning’s Virtual Exchange (VE) Training and the Global Learning Institute. She has since incorporated global learning activities into the Educational Technology Program, beginning with its orientation.

The Career Influencer Awards are offered by the Career Connections Center, and this award recognizes a faculty member who has championed the career development of students at the University through collaboration or mentorship. As a past participant in OGL’s Virtual Exchange (VE) Training and having earned the Global Teaching & Learning Certificate, Dr. Matthew Traum has been highly active in developing and implementing impactful VE projects for UF undergraduates and incoming transfer students. Participants receive:
• $500 in professional development funds
