Enrollment Balancing Community Priorities 05/29/2026

🚨🚨Be sure to fill out the Enrollment Balancing Survey from the district🚨🚨

There is a school district redistricting survey open right now, and it closes Sunday 5/31.

The district is looking at adjusting boundaries and redistributing students because Lincoln and MSS are currently at capacity. One of the proposals would shift more students into High Point and possibly MSE since they are considered “under capacity.”

From what has been shared, this could mean:

* High Point growing significantly (potentially up to 700–750 students)
* Around 5 sections per grade level at some schools
* A shift toward a “super school” model at certain elementaries, while others remain smaller (375–500 students).
* Changes to how related arts (art, music, PE, library) are scheduled and grouped. This would result in larger groups in shared spaces and more complex scheduling overall.

If you have opinions on this, the district is actively collecting feedback through a survey, and it really helps for families to participate before it closes on SUNDAY.

🏃‍♂️💙 Saved By the FIT 5K was an incredible success on Friday, May 8th!

With more than 415 runners and walkers and over 500 people in attendance, this year marked one of High Point’s BIGGEST FIT 5K’s yet! Even with a little drizzle, our High Point community showed up in a huge way and made the day unforgettable.

Events like this don’t happen without the dedication of amazing volunteers. From directing runners and handing out Rita’s, to building balloon towers, donating water, cheering on participants, and helping behind the scenes — every single volunteer played an important role in making the FIT 5K such a special event.

Your time, energy, and support mean more than we can say.

From the bottom of our hearts… THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS!!! 💛🩵🩷
