Does anyone know why the news station was at the school and recording the kids walking out of the school?
Are there any parents who pick their kids up after school who would be willing to pick up my 8th grade son and drop him off at the YMCA down the road? His previously arranged transportation is no longer able to continue and he can’t ride a bus to the Y because he is an in district transfer so I am required to provide transportation.
Is there a student/parent directory? My son has some friends he talks to a lot at lunch and after school and I would like to connect with their parents to arrange...hang out times?? You know...the teenage equivalent to play dates. I’ve asked my son to ask for contact information, but it’s a lost cause.
It's going to be a warm and sunny Sunday!! We will see you there!! 💙💛🦁
Nothing like a curriculum night to spark the fire of motivation to support your children’s education. Thank you to all the staff at GMSE for hosting such an important event!!
Do we have to wait until we get the 8th grade schedule to find out if your student is taking Algebra/Geometry or should I already know that? The calculator needed for math is inexpensive but the one needed for Algebra and Geometry is pricey.

Where can I find information regarding volleyball tryouts? 🏐
Monday is our next PTA meeting. 7 PM in the Middle School East Library. For those interested there will be 2 guest speakers. Tim Gagliardo, the freshman principal at Lincoln High school and Kalena Faulk, the freshman guidance counselor there will be at the meeting. We thought having them come speak might be helpful for 8th grade parents who have questions about the high school. However, anyone is welcome to come and ask questions. Hope to see you there.
Thank you for a wonderful Veterans Day Program. Every aspect from the choir, the band, the special speaker to having students present their Veteran was moving. #wearelions

[11/11/19]   Monday is Veterans Day and that is a big day at GMSE. We will have nearly 50 veterans and their families in attendance. We have high expectations of the students during the assembly and they have always lived up to those expectations. We made an announcement to the kids last week about wearing patriotic colors tomorrow. If they couldn't remember here is what I told them:
6th grade wear RED
7th grade wear WHITE
8th grade wear BLUE
You will have to ask your kids about the assembly when they get home. It is my hope that they learn about the sacrifice and the importance of service.

6th grade fun night at Lazer Kraze was amazing!

GMSE students get an introduction to movement and dance from Ballet Met. Thank you Mrs. Harding and the GMSE PTA for setting this all up!

A big day at GMSE. Kids taking the 3Rs pledge to be Respectful, Responsible and Ready all year!

Much fun at the GMSE 7th grade dance last night. This was planned and organized by our students and their passion to help! Kids read “Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie” and were inspired to raise money for families with cancer. Over $1200 was raised and will be donated to NC4K whose motto is ‘no kids fight cancer alone’. This is a charity led by a Gahanna resident benefiting families in Columbus and Cincinnati. Thank you Middle School east for a great evening!
