There is a slight delay in our blog post for this week. It will definitely still come out before Halloween next week, but my work schedule has exploded because I am taking some time off.

So, we will get it done in the next few days so that I can sleep and be in a good mood for the rest of the week.

Motivation Monday: This week I get to go to Orlando for a business retreat.

When I signed up and paid to go last Spring, I was running 3 businesses simultaneously and needed help finding my focus.

Now I am “running” one business that is not doing much.

But, I know that going down new paths in business is the way to feed my curiosity.

I can’t always control what season my business is in or how well it is doing.

But I can keep exploring new directions to take.

You can do it to.

If your current path isn’t leading where you thought it might, try a new path.

Never stop exploring.

Motivation Monday: Just like many things in parenting, sometimes these posts are for me as well.

But mostly me.

(We saw Book of Mormon last night and it is so good! But not the point here.)

I am going through a time of growth in my day job, but it feels like a slump everywhere else.

It is uncomfortable.

It is tiring.

I don’t want to do it anymore.

But, I know that if I hang in there, it is going to get better.

It is going to get easier.

And it is all going to be worth it.

So, I am holding on.

Sometimes just by a thread, but I will not let that thread go.

You can do it to. I know you can.

I can’t wait to see both of us succeed!

Well, if you have, I find that this quote is helpful to me. I have a track record of making it through 100% of my past difficulties.

We have all come this far - through some pretty serious stuff - and we are still here.

Motivation Monday: You know I had to.

I just love my namesake season.

It is beautiful and the weather doesn’t make you melt and the air smells like campfires and the woods.

Everything is cozy - boots and sweaters and flannel.

There is pumpkin and apple everything.

You will never convince me there is a better season.

So glad we’ve finally arrived.

I hope you will take some time to embrace the change in seasons and everything that fall has to offer.

Motivation Monday: I found myself feeling overwhelmed and too busy this past week.

And then I found a way to still do all the things that were expected of me and most of the things I wanted to do, too.

It’s true. You have to choose carefully, but if it is important to you, you will find time to do it.

This is true with work, exercise, friendships - almost any area of life.

If it is important, you will find time for it. You just have to set your priorities.

I don’t always make instagram a priority, but I will make time for the people in my life. Like you.

Motivation Monday: I have been on a break. It wasn't a conscious choice, my day-to-day responsibilities just took precedence over my side-hustle. Building a caseload is not for the weak friends - it has been a slog.

I am back now, though. And I am back fresh from a weekend of hiking and adventures in the mountains of New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia.

The mountains always bring me peace. And they really do remind me that there is always a path forward, even if it isn't easy to see from where you are.

I hope that you can see your path forward, but if you can't, I really want to encourage you to trust that it is there.

You will find your way, and I will be there to cheer for you every step of the way!
